Many territories are neither urban nor rural but a close-knit composition of built-up areas and open spaces. These territories request for tailor-made policies, including spatial planning, agricultural and climate adaptation policies. Through my research I try to feed into the debate and to inspire policy work about Flanders’ open spaces.
